Coffee set "Scheherazade Ballet" is made of bone china on the famous“May” shape with an overglaze decal and gold decoration (24 carat). The coffee set is a part of the collection "Russian Ballet" by the artist Lyubov Tsvetkova made of 3 pcs sets .The collection is based and inspired on the most significant Russian ballets and its transfer to porcelain are due not only to the artist's personal impressions, but also to sketches of scenery and costumes made once for the design of world-famous performances. On the body of the cup is an image of the dancing characters of the ballet "Scheherazade" by N.I. Rimsky-Korsakov: an Arab, the sultan's wife, odalisques in yellow and pink. On the saucer there is an oriental ornament and image of lamps, jugs, fruit and grapes in vases. On the desert plate - ballet decorations (colorful draperies, beads, lamps); on the bottom - a brand with the inscription "Russian Ballet Series" by N.I. Rimsky-Korsakov "Ballet "Scheherazade". The "May" shape is the first shape made of bone china. The first batch of bone china raw materials was received in May 1969.
